Raza Designs Collection of Modest Bridal Peignoir Sets Brings Timeless Elegance Into Modern Times

The sumptuous feel of satin, the beauty of rich brocade, a
sculpted profile, the sweep of a flowing gown; these a
re the elements of elegance that echo across the ages.
They are also the ingredients of the Raza Design’s collection
of bridal peignoir sets, designs that reflect an era past.

“Raza” means secret in Aramaic and Luchfeld, a Tommy-award
winning designer and fashion industry veteran, knows
the secret of combining comfort ,modesty, and flattering grace.
“The tradition of dressing the bride in the finest of lingerie
dates back to time immemorial” saysLuchfeld. “Brides today
understand that fashion need not has  constrict like in times
of yore. Our collection seeks to blend the dramatic look of
Hollywood and Versailles with  fabulous new fabrics -- fabrics
that allow a woman to move about in comfort and style.”

Raza’s new website WWW.RAZADESIGNS.COM adds to that comfort zone
“You can now order anything from our collection any time, day
or night, with a click of the mouse. How’s that for comfort? ",said Luchfeld.

All garments are offered in a wide range of sizes,
(Petite, Missy, and Plus). Moreover the quality is comparable
to the European imported garments but the price is not!
Quite the contrary, Raza Collection is   exported to
South America, Europe, Israel,Australia,Canada,Japan,
and the Middle East because it is so affordable. Private
label collections are designed constantly for Raza’s
exclusive customers.

Modest clothing has come into Vogue! Your Shabbos Robe is Haute Couture!

I spend most of my days combing Manhattan clothing shops, fabric stores and "trims & novelty" warehouses. At night I fall asleep with " In Style,  or "Vogue "in my hands. I could definitely write a PHD on modern day fashion.
So what's new? Everything! We are returning slowly, surely, with head erect and pride intact to a time of "Innocence".  Gwyneth Paltrow is cited as a trailblazer wearing modest tailored suits and schoolgirl looks. Marc Jacobs dresses his models in knee highs, pleated skirts and frilly blouses. The look is long and lean- and covered up! The belly button will have to hide in shame!

Aren't we lucky! Modest dressing is on the return! Will we lead the trend and innovate or will we chase the fashion runway and copy?
I for one will copy! I will never have the type of exposure that a Celebrity or Parisian designer has. - And if I did I am sure the Jewish clientele would look elsewhere for inspiration.  We have chosen to be different and apart - and yet we are very influenced by everything around us.

The new Raza collection is a reflection of of last year's best sellers and the tailored "Chanel" and "Courege" looks of the future. Last year we played with sheer printed georgettes, frills, cascades, and ruching.  I did everything I could to use sheer " See Through" fabric in a
MODEST fashion. The fabric had to move with the body, be light and airy , but not revealing.

Come and visit our new Collection at WWW.RAZADESIGNS.COM  or visit one of the many retail stores around the world that sell our elegant Hostess Gowns and Shabbos Robes.

Should one buy a Shabbos Robe on the Web

It's been 9 years now that WWW.RAZADESIGNS.COM introduced it's website to the world. Nine years ago it seemed like a risky idea. RAZA DESIGNS questioned who would buy a Shabbos Robe online and would it be worth it to the consumer or the Manufacturer to complete the transaction. Would the garment fit? How many returns would there be? Over the years the results were updated, analysed and continuously reported to you, our loyal reader...Nine years later one questions why we questioned! The worldwide net has so subtly invaded our homes and influenced our buying habits that we are unaware how dependent we have become.

The critical question to us was, Who will buy a Shabbos Robe online?
Now we know that WWW.RAZADESIGNS.COM serves  a myriad of customers. Here is the way the orders break out.
1. 50% are young adult (18-28 ) women who have left home to go to Seminary, Israel, or College.- And young women, who very possibly still live at home, but have entered the workforce. Wherever she lives, she definitely pays for her own purchases, and knows what she wants! This young lady has emerged as the prime market. She is better known "in Marketing Lingo" as the Young Adult or Contemporary Customer. This young woman has the least amount of responsibilities and the most amount of discretionary income to spend. She is not married, has no children, and no mortgage to pay. -But most important she is dating, or being fixed up. "She is in the Kallah Mode". She  not only has the money but she has a perceived need that must be fulfilled. She has to look good and impress her future mate and in-laws.
2. 20% are Plus Size Customers ecstatic to find the RAZA DESIGNS site. The multiple order is often comprised of  3 to 5 units. This customer could be living right here in New York, but the regional stores are not carrying her size! She is looking for a young fitted design in a 1X ; or  a 3x-4x  in something elegant but generous. In both these cases, a local store will not risk stocking the extraordinary silhouette or size. RAZADESIGNS.COM custom cuts the size and makes it available upon demand.
3. 20% is "The Out of  Town" customer. The web was intended to serve this market. There is no doubt Raza is seeing orders from Florida, Alaska, Canada,Germany, London, Jordan, Australia,France and Israel, but the location is not the only motivation. The Convenient Shopping  hours is the driving force behind the purchase. 24 hours a day you can browse and purchase.
4.10% of purchases are "Gifts". Male or Female,- husband, girlfriend, sister, or mother are buying gift certificates or the robe itself. In most cases the purchaser prefers to send a robe. They want to surprise the recipient with the real thing!

The second most important question was,How would RAZA DESIGNS adapt?
Growing pains were inevitable. Raza Designs had to meet the challenge of their new retail customer. The prime investment was in Customer Service. Every single order had to be contacted.Very few people ever check the Size Guide to verify their size. Very few people know their size or their measurements. As the customer measures herself, the Raza Representative discusses the size, color and suitability of the robe. It's come to a point where Raza Designs sends out measuring  tapes to those poor souls who are unable to make out their size and height. In addition, a separate cutter and samplehand have been hired especially to fulfill the ECommerce orders. This department has grown so much that it is actively looking for a young woman who understands fashion, ecommerce and customer service, to help expand the division.
Return business is the key to the success in any business. The customer service department has helped to limit the amount of returns. RAZA DESIGNS is trying upfront to insure the customer chooses correctly, and  will return time and time again.

In conclusion, WWW.RAZADESIGNS.COM  has learned two key points. Customer service insures the sale and repeat sale -And Convenient Shopping hours is the driving force behind the purchase. 24 hours a day you can browse and purchase.  So give it a try. The kids are asleep, the dishes are done, the bills are paid, and the Shabbat meal is cooked. Now is your time to treat yourself royally! Sit down and enter a fantasy world of high drama and fashion design. Greet the Sabbath Queen as a Queen. Go to WWW.RAZADESIGNS.COM and try on your first Shabbos Robe. It is definitely an acquired taste. But once you have bought your first Raza robe, you'll never look back. It is cuddly, comfortable, elegant, travels well and is washable!  An effortless investment- a no brainer.
